Hello, I am a PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at UCLA. My research focuses on syntax and morphology in Indo-Aryan languages, primarily Hindi and Haryanvi. Recently, I have also been working on intonation and prosody of Haryanvi.

birds at UCLA
i like watching birds. if you are around UCLA, look for these little guys: dark eyed juncos, bush tits, song sparrows, house finches, and scrub-jays!

my parent's backyard is my favourite place to observe birds. the window in my bedroom allows me to watch them undisturbed, jumping around, looking for little worms, often enjoying a little looksie in the reflective windows. some of the most commons birds i see here are taylor birds, bulbuls, robins, and the naughtiest of them all, jungle babblers. if am lucky, i might spot a hoopie, a kingfisher, or a magpie-robin!
